Southern Storm 18’s team will be competing in the men’s AA/Open division at the tournament at Ga Tech this weekend. Come out and cheer on the boys.

Southern Storm 18’s played well in the first juniors tournament of the year. A great Saturday had us playing all of the top teams, and going 8-0 in pool play and getting the 1st seed. Sunday we lost in the semi’s to a tough defensive Miami Matadors team.

Results from Emory

The Southern Storm Boy’s 18’s team played at Emory this past weekend, and did very well. Finishing 2nd in the pool and winning in the quarter finals, but losing in the semi’s to a tough Men’s team from Augusta. We played this tournament with our 15 year old setter, and we held our own against everyone. Great job Storm, and thanks to all of the people that came out to watch as well.

The Southern Storm Boy’s Volleyball Club will be playing in a collegiate tournament this Saturday, November 12th at Emory University. Come out and support the 18’s team if you are in town.

UGA tournament – 2nd place

Congrats to the 18’s team on a great tournament this past weekend at UGA. First tournament of the year, and we had a great start to the season. Storm went 5-1 in pool play, then won in the quarters and the semi’s before falling to a Men’s team from Augusta in the finals. UGA Alumni took a game from us in the semi’s, but we were able to fight and pull our way through in 3 games. The only other team to take a game off of us was the team that won it.

Information Meeting/Parents Meeting – Oct 16th 4-5pm

We will have our annual Information Meeting and Parents Meeting on Sunday, October 16th. We will have a player/parent handbook detailing our club, philosophies, and our season. We look forward to all of the new parents and guys from this summer to join us and meet the parents from the returning team members. This meeting should only take about an hour. See you guys on Sunday, October 16th at 4pm.
