Coach Brian Teague
Coach Teague is not only an outstanding coach but is also the director of Southern Storm.
Brian established the Southern Storm Boy’s Volleyball program in 1997 shortly after moving to Atlanta. Coach Teague is a former collegiate wrestler who discovered the excitement and enjoyment of Men’s Volleyball while attending NC State University. Coach Teague played at the collegiate Club level becoming a first team All ACC player his senior year. Brian still plays competitively and has been a part of Team Championships and has earned MVP honors in his years of competition after college. Coach Teague is coaching the Ga Tech Men’s Club Volleyball program for the 2011-2012 season as well.
Coach Teague has continued his coaching education and is IMPACT and CAP I certified. Brian’s love for the game makes him the classic gym rat, always watching and studying other teams and coaches to find new ways to improve his coaching methods and skills.
Coaching Philosophy
I believe in the saying “no Guy left behind”. That’s our version of the Army Rangers “no man left behind”. Each boy who comes to practices should be given the same attention and same opportunity to become all that they can be. Regardless of age and skill level, it is my responsibility to coach each player and provide the tools that will allow them to be the best player possible. It is my goal that each practice be fun yet challenging.
Above all I accept the challenge to improve each player as person. I want each player to be a better person when they leave the club on and off the court.
